Preparing for Immigration

Do you plan on immigrating  to Canada or France ?

The immigration process takes time and energy. We know this firsthand. Some of the members of our small team have themselves completed all the steps in the immigration process. We can therefore prepare you for the language examinations (TEFAQ, TCF - Canada, TCF - IRN, Naturalization inteview), and we can also help if you need to draft documents or fill in forms in French. If you have trouble understanding how to navigate some of the platforms, we can also help in that regard.

Immigration to Canada

To be able to submit your application through the Express Entry portal, you will need to prove that you have the required level in French, which is equivalent to a C1 on the CEFR scale. Not to worry, we’re here to help you get there.

To do this, you’ll need to pass the French language proficiency test TCF - Canada (Test de connaissance du français - Canada). Students often ask us which of the two is easier. The answer is they are roughly equal in difficulty. If you don’t know which test to take, choose based on the examination date.

To prepare for the exam, we will tell you which resources to use for the comprehension test, and we’ll work closely with you on the speaking and writing parts as well.

Immigration to Québec

To be able to submit your application to ARRIMA, you will need to gather enough points according to various criteria (professional experience, age, languages, etc...).

Immigration to France

To be able to submit your application for French naturalization, you’ll need to prove that you have the required level in French, which is equivalent to a B1 on the CEFR scale.

To do this, you’ll first need to pass either the TEF - IRN test (Test d'évaluation de français - Intégration, Résidence et Nationalité), the TCF - IRN test (Test de connaissance du français - Intégration, Résidence et Nationalité), or the DELF B1 exam.

You will also need to pass the naturalization interview to prove you are ready to become a French citizen. In the interview, you’ll have to answer some relatively personal questions followed by other general questions about French culture. To prepare for the French culture part of the interview, you will receive the Citizen’s Booklet available as an online PDF with the main information you’ll need to memorize.

To prepare for the language exam, we will tell you which resources to use for the comprehension test, and we’ll work closely with you on the speaking and writing during our classes. Once you pass the exam, we will prepare you specifically for the naturalization interview.
